Notre Dame visiting professor Alex Chavez and his Son Huasteca group will be performing Feb 25th in Chicago. The event is at GalerÃa ColibrÃ, an art space in Pilsen. All ages are welcome and there is a $5 donation/cover to support the space. Afterwards, there will be a fandango at the space with local Chicago musicians who play son jarocho and other styles of Mexican folk music. Those who play instruments should bring them to join in the music.
